## Status of IGI Life

IGI Life Insurance Limited (“the Company”) was assimilated in Pakistan on October 9, 1994, as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984. Its shares are cited on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (formerly Karachi Stock Exchange Limited). The Company began its operations on May 25, 1995, after the registration with the Controller of Insurance on April 30, 1995.

The registered office of the Company is situated on 7th Floor, The Forum, Suite No. 701-713, G-20, Block 9, Khayaban-e-Jami, Clifton, Karachi which is also the principal office of the Company.

## Family Takaful

Following the Takaful Guidelines, 2012 issued by SECP, the conventional life insurance companies were allowed to begin Window Takaful Operations. IGI Life has been amongst the forerunners to embark upon the Family Takaful endeavor. IGI Life believes that this enterprise will help in educating the masses and increasing the acceptability of financial security among society, particularly in sectors that have hesitations about conventional insurance plans. Under the IGI Life Window Takaful Operations License, groundbreaking family takaful plans are available for IGI Life customers which are 100% Shari’ah compliant.
